How do I find a Live-stream certification?

The IICRC certifications locator lists Live-stream certifications available.

Where can I find the Candidate Agreement form?

The candidate agreement form is signed during online certification registration or when taking an IICRC certification in the classroom.  This form contains the IICRC Certified technician pledge.  Please CLICK HERE to review.

How will I take the exam upon certification completion?

All Live-Stream certification  applicants will complete the online exam using the IICRC Online Exam Portal.

What is the exam fee?

Both the initial exam fee and retest exam fee are $80 (AMRT and Inspection Exam is $150).

How long is the exam registration good for?

You have 45 days to complete the exam from the last date of the certification. Please note that statistics show your chances of passing an exam are higher closer to the completion of the certification.

How much time do I have to complete the exam once started?

Every exam has a specific timeframe in which it must be completed. CLICK HERE to see Live-Stream exam times.

What if I fail?

You will be provided two opportunities to retest within 45 days of the date you took the exam.

What if I have issues during examination?

Can I receive CECs for attending a Live-stream certification?

An individual can attend a Live-stream certification for CECs only at the discretion of the instructor/school. However all Live-stream certifications are capped at 20 people total, and the applicant is counted if they are taking the exam or not.

Will attendance be taken during the duration of Live-stream certifications?

Attendance will be taken daily. You must attend every day for the entire duration or you forfeit your eligibility to receive certification.

What do I need to do to maintain my Certification(s)?

Pay your annual renewal fee each year.

Participate in continuing education (CEC) classes or events to maintain your continuing education credit hour requirements.

How do I pay my renewal fees?

Visit iicrc.org and select Sign In at the top right corner of the screen.

Log in and pay your renewal.

If you’re a Certified Technician logging in for the first time, contact renewals@iicrcnet.org for login credentials.

If you’re a Certified Firm logging in for the first time, contact certifiedfirms@iicrcnet.org for login credentials.

Can I edit my Certification(s) to show my company name?

Your Certifications follow you and not your company, so your Certifications must remain in your name. This allows you to take your Certifications with you regardless of the company you work for.

I have been expired for a long time, can I get reinstated?

If you’ve been expired for less than 24 months you must email renewals@iicrcnet.org to request your invoice.

If you’ve been expired for more than 24 months you must email reinstatements@iicrcnet.org to request a reinstatement. Applicable fees may be assessed for all reinstatements.

If you’re unsure how long you’ve been expired please contact renewals@iicrcnet.org .

My technician fee is $46 and my coworker’s technician fee is $58. Why is this?

You are billed based on the quantity and type of certifications that you carry.

Do I have to renew every year?

Yes. Annual renewal is required to keep your certifications active.

Can I pay my annual renewal fee by phone?

To ensure safe transactions, please log in to your account at iicrc.org to remit payment. 

For assistance please call 844-464-4272 Option 2 for Renewals. 

Where is my renewal invoice?

Your renewal invoice is emailed to the email address listed in your profile. If there is no email address on file, your invoice is mailed to the mailing address provided. If you haven’t received your invoice, please give us a call at 844-464-4272.

Please note: Renewal notifications arrive from noreply@iicrcnet.org and may be found in your junk or spam folder. Network firewall settings can reject the noreply@iicrcnet.org send and prevent delivery.

Can I pay for all my certified staff renewal invoices at once?

Yes. IICRC staff can assist you with bulk payments for multiple renewal invoices. Please email renewals@iicrcnet.org for assistance.

Certified Firms can access and pay open invoices for linked technicians by logging into their online company profile.

How long will it take to receive my Certification(s)?

Certification processing takes 4-6 weeks from the date of exam completion.

Mailing of Certification is 7-10 business days from the date of Certification processing.

Continuing Education Requirements

Certifications

What are CECs?

CECs are continuing education credit hours. All Certified Technicians are required to complete ongoing education to be eligible for renewal.

How many CECs do I need?

14 CECs (hours) every four years.

Master and Inspector Certifications require 14 CECs (hours) every two years.

Why do I need CECs? print my own Certification(s) online?

The continuing education requirement ensures ongoing knowledge within the industry.

How can I find CEC certifications?

Will I receive CECs for attending industry Trade Shows/Events?

Yes, you can earn CECs in a few ways:

Registration at the IICRC booth during applicable trade shows receives two CEC hours.

Registration for educational tracks held at conventions or trade shows are awarded based on hours attended. Each hour of training equals one hour of continuing education hours. The maximum number of hours one can receive is 14. CEC hours do not carry over once the maximum number of CECs are reached.

Please note: Documentation is required to award CECs and varies from event.

How do I notify the IICRC that I’ve completed CEC hours?

You can email your Continuing Education Certificate of Completion to renewals@iicrcnet.org.

Please note: It is the technician’s responsibility to submit documentation to the IICRC for proper CEC credit hours.

How do I locate a certification in my City/State?

Certified Firm/Technician Updates

Supply Orders

How much does it cost to be a Certified Firm?
  1. Fees for your Certified Firm are  prorated (month dependent), plus a $25.00 application fee. This amount will be assessed upon approval of your Firm application. Please allow up to 10-14 business days for processing. 
  2. For Renewals, the amount is $199.00 each year.
What is needed to be a Certified Firm?
  1. Current liability insurance.
  2. At least one active Certified Technician.
  3. Completed Certified Firm Application.
Can I renew my Certified Firm early?

Invoices for the annual renewal season will begin distribution in October of each year. The primary Admin for your Certified Firm will receive the invoice.

  1. You can only renew once you’ve received this invoice.
  2. Your Certified Technicians are current.
  3. Your liability insurance is up to date.
How do I renew one of my Certified Technicians?
  1. Log in to your Certified Firm account and select “Technician Certification“.
  2.  Select the open invoice to renew.

Note: CECs must be up to date to renew. You can find CECs here.

I’m a Certified Technician and I changed companies, what do I do?
  1. Log into your account with your email. Click “Forgot Password” to reset if you don’t know it.
  2. Once in your account, click on the Firm name you’re currently affiliated with, on the front page.
  3. This will open the “Organization Change Request”. Fill this out with the updated company     information.

Note: Please allow 48 hours for this to take effect.

I’m a Certified Firm. How do I add/remove Certified Technicians from my company profile?

Adding Certified Techniicans to your Firm:

Contact the Certified Firms team at certifiedfirms@iicrcnet.org, 844-464-4272 option 4, or via Live Chat from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time.

Removing Certified Technicians from your Firm:

  1. Log in to you Firm account, ensure you are on the correct “Overview” page. 
  2. Click on the “Edit Relation” button next to the technician that you need to remove.
  3. Click on the “End Relation” button to remove them from your list.
I'm a Certified Firm and I want to access a list of my technicians, how do I do this?

Select “Organizations You Manage” banner in your account. Here you will find a list of Certified Technicians attached to your Firm.

  1. Click on the Firm under the “Organizations You Manage” banner.
  2. Ensure you’re on the “Overview” page. This is the proper page to update your Certified Technician’s  information, or remove them from your Firm.
  3. Click on the “Technician Certification” box for more information, or to pay your Certified Technician’s annual renewal invoices.

Note: If you do NOT see the “Organizations You Manage” banner in your account you must contact. certifiedfirms@iicrcnet.org to be added as the admin. You will need an account for yourself for this to be done.

I have multiple company locations, why is only one showing in the IICRC Global Locator?

Each location you need to appear on the locator must be individually Certified. Click Here to submit a new application for any missing locations.

Each location must have:

  1. At least one active, unique IICRC Certified Technician on file. This Certified Technician cannot be listed for another location.
  2. Completed application with current copy of liability insurance (Please allow 2-5 business days.)

Note:

  1. ALL Certified Firms run December to December. Fees for each location will be a prorated amount (month dependent), plus a $25.00 application fee. 
  2. Your Certified Firm will expire December 31st of each year, at which time you must submit your renewal fee of $199 to maintain your status.

How do I pay for my supply order?

After we receive your supply order, we review your account to ensure the items ordered are correct. After verification, you will receive an email from supplies@iicrcnet.org prompting you to log into your IICRC Profile and pay your invoice.

Can I order supplies for more than one Certified Technician or Firm?

Yes, of course! Each Certified Technician and/or Certified Firm requires its own order submission. Once the information is verified for all the Technicians and/or Certified Firms, you will receive an email from supplies@iicrcnet.org prompting you to log in to your IICRC Profile and pay the invoice.
