About the IICRC
 

 

What is the IICRC Organization?

The IICRC is the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification, a non-profit organization for the cleaning and restoration industry. 

The IICRC is managed by its Board of Directors, which is comprised of 15 industry leaders elected by the IICRC’s Shareholders. The Board of Directors’ function is to represent the various interests of the Registrants while leading the direction of the organization. The Board of Directors meets four times per year and is tasked with the responsibility of helping shape future policies of the organization and uphold the standards that help shape the industry.

Purpose

The mission of the IICRC is to establish and advance globally recognized standards and certifications for the inspection, cleaning, restoration and installation industries.

The Global Resource Center, the IICRC Headquarters, is located at 4043 S. Eastern Ave in Las Vegas, Nevada. Managed by IICRC President Richard Greene and 28 dedicated staff members the "GRC" is a 20,000 square foot facility includes administrative services for IICRC Certified Technicians and Firms, and Education department for IICRC Approved Instructors and Schools, Marketing, Human Resources, and a large training center for events and meeting space.

WHAT ARE CERTIFICATION CLASSES?

Certification classes are classes taught by an approved Instructor or School. Each class taught varies from one day to five days, depending on course content and requirements. Online learning is also available in select categories for those who cannot attend a class.

WHAT IS AN APPROVED SCHOOL?

As a certifying and standards-setting body, the IICRC owns no schools and has no instructors on staff. Rather, to fulfill its education commitment, the IICRC approves schools and instructors that apply to and meet the criteria set forth by the board of directors.

Will instructors travel?

The IICRC does not provide recommendations for any approved instructor, rather, any individual seeking to attend a class is required to contact an approved instructor from the directory provided for any inquires related to their services.
