Getting A Carpet Cleaning Certification Online
A business that has completed their carpet cleaning certification should consider online continuing education credits, or CECs. The Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification, also referred to as the IICRC, is the gold standard for those that want to be recognized as a reputable choice in the industry, and they offer courses for CECs in various aspects of the industry.
Even after receiving carpet cleaning certification, online CECs with the IICRC will show that the business takes their work very seriously. It proves to the client that the company wants to provide the best service possible by staying up to date on the latest technology and methods in this field. There are a couple other groups that also offer this, but they tend to lag behind the IICRC in terms of professionalism and standards. This agency is responsible for putting together what is considered to be the best practices for these businesses, and customers that choose one of the member businesses know that they will get top of the line service.
After being a registrant of the IICRC for a year and working in the field, a technician will receive journeyman status. To secure it, the professional needs to pass three classes in the textile cleaner, fire and smoke restorer or water restorer tracks. After three years of working in the industry and keeping your credits current ,and taking two additional classes the technician will receive master status.
These courses cover a wide range of topics, including basic maintenance, color restoration, odor removal, fire, smoke and water restoration, microbial remediation, textile and upholstery repair, inspection, textile dying, leather or ceramic cleansing, sewage remediation, and masonry and wood restoration.
