What’s In a Name? IICRC Restructures Global Regions

In its ongoing effort to establish and advance globally recognized standards and certifications for the inspection, cleaning, restoration and installation industries, the IICRC has restructured its four global regions.

Previously known as the U.S., UK, Oceania and Japan offices, the four regions will now be referred to as The Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific and Japan, respectively. The restructuring is effective immediately.

“Through our work with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and other international standards-setting organizations, we’re experiencing greater interest for our standards and certification programs,” said Tony Wheelwright, IICRC Chairman. “This decision will enable the organization to expand its reach and paves the way for future global initiatives.”

“We continually look for ways to advance our mission and enhance global recognition for our standards and certification programs,” added Jenny Boymal, International Vice President, IICRC. “By restructuring our regions, we will be better positioned to further the international scope of our efforts.”
