BSR-IICRC S600 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Carpet Installation
BSR-IICRC S600 draft Standard and Reference Guide document was available from June 13 to July 28, 2014 for the second 45-day public review period. The Consensus Body has responded to all public review comments.
Note: the Standard and Reference Guide are DRAFT documents and could be changed considerably over the next few months so please do not cite, circulate, copy, or reference the Standard and Reference Guide till it is in final approved version and published by IICRC.
The S600 Standard and Reference Guide will cover both Residential and Commercial Carpet Installations. This industry consensus document will give specific guidance for the proper, recommended procedures for installing various carpet products in different types of installations.
Current Status: BSR-IICRC S600 was available from Jan. 25 to March 11, 2013 for review and comment as part of the first 45-day public review period. It was also available from June 13 to July 28, 2014 for the second public review period. The Consensus Body is currently reviewing and addressing all public review and Committee comments made on the Standard and Reference Guide.
Note: IICRC is developing the BSR-IICRC S600 as an ANSI Standard. BSR is the ANSI Board of Standards Review that reviews and approves Standards as American National Standards. All new Standards under development are designated as BSR-IICRC till such time that they receive final approval from ANSI and can be published.
