Q. When were you first elected to the Board of Directors?
    A. I was elected October 18th, 2009.
Q. What position(s) do you hold on the Board?
    A. I am a Director.
Q. What is your shareholder affiliation?
    A. My shareholder affiliation is Association – CCINW (Carpet Cleaners Institute of the Northwest).
Q. What committees with IICRC do you chair or participate?
    A. I’m active in the Distance Learning and Long Range Planning Committees, as well as the Directors at Large Task Force. I’m also a participant in the S100 Standards Committee.
Q. What are your IICRC Certifications?
    A. My current IICRC certification is CCT (Carpet Cleaning Technician); I’ve held many others in the past.
Q. What is your "day job" and how long have you been doing it?
    A. I have been retired since October 2009; prior to that I ran a multi-truck cleaning and inspection service for 36 years.
Q. What other industry organizations are you active, what do you do for them and how could this benefit the IICRC?
    A. I am a CCINW board member. Additionally, I’m active on Mikey's Board - the most active industry forum in North America; this gives me an ear to our industry and lots of experience in reaching our registrants via the Internet.
Q. What are your hobbies/interests outside the industry that you would like to share?
    A. My interests include research and testing, teaching, travel, foreign languages, geography, and history.
Q. Please tell us about any awards or professional recognition received during your experience in the cleaning, restoration and inspection industry.
    A. I’ve earned some awards from Steamway International, and have been nominated for Cleanfax Person of the Year.
Q. What do you personally wish to contribute to the IICRC during your term?
    A. I wish to contribute my time and my passion for this industry, and to be a part of helping this institute be everything that it can and should be. I’d also like to promote inclusiveness, professionalism and transparency, all the while making the IICRC more recognized both locally and internationally and more relevant to both large and small cleaners (and to their customers).
Q. What areas of expertise do you have that would be beneficial to the IlCRC?
    A. My expertise includes: 20 years experience as a Carpet Inspector/Corrector, a few years as a Trainer, and several years as Public Speaker. I’ve amassed a very large Rolodex of cleaners, inspectors and instructors (i.e. – I have my finger on the pulse of the industry). Also, I have considerable experience managing a large cleaning business.
