Q. When were you first elected to the Board of Directors?

     A. I was first elected in October 2009.

Q. What is your shareholder affiliation?

     A. My shareholder affiliation is Association (SCRT – Society of Cleaning and Restoration Technicians).

Q. What committees with The Clean Trust do you chair or participate?

     A. I’m active with the Instructors and Schools Committee, Certification Council, and the following TACs (Technical Advisory Committees): WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician), ASD (Applied Structural Drying), CDS (Commercial Drying Specialist), SRT (Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician), and OCT (Odor Control Technician).

Q. What are your Clean Trust Certifications?

     A. I hold these IICRC certifications: Master Water Restorer, Master Fire & Smoke Restorer, Master Textile Cleaner, and CDS (exam taken, results pending).

Q. What is your "day job" and how long have you been doing it?

     A. I am Director of Training and Technical Support for ServiceMaster Clean. I’ve been in my current position for 10 years and a total of 15 years at ServiceMaster Clean Corporate (with 10 previous years as a Franchisee). Altogether I have a total of 25 years with ServiceMaster Clean.

Q. What other industry organizations are you active, what do you do for them and how could this benefit The Clean Trust?

     A. I am the Vice President of Operations for SCRT, Corporate Representative to RIA (Restoration Industry Association)and IAQA (Indoor Air Quality Association), and Outreach Instructor for OSHA outreach. All of these connections give me a broad knowledge base to gather information from and to remain informed about the industry.

Q. What are your hobbies/interests outside the industry that you would like to share?

     A. I’ve been a Boy Scout Scoutmaster for 15 years. Also, I currently serve as the council training chairman as well as a member of the National design team for training.

Q. What do you personally wish to contribute to The Clean Trust during your term?

     A. I’d like to provide the viewpoint of the franchise business.

Q. What areas of expertise do you have that would be beneficial to The Clean Trust?

     A. I have extensive technical knowledge in cleaning and restoration and have managed projects of all types and sizes; I was even involved in our company's restoration of the pentagon after 9/11.

I hold a degree in Computer Science.

Overall, my work with Scouting and as a corporate trainer has allowed me to develop a wide variety of training and teambuilding skills.
