Q. When were you first elected to the Board of Directors?
    A. I was first elected April 1999.
Q. What position(s) do you hold on the Board?
    A. I am the 2nd Vice Chair, Instructors and Schools Committee Chair and RCT TAC (Rug Cleaning Technician Technical Advisory Committee) Chair.
Q. What is your shareholder affiliation?
    A. My shareholder affiliation is Association – PCRA (Professional Cleaning & Restoration Alliance).
Q. What committees with IICRC do you chair or participate?
    A. I’m involved with the Instructors and Schools Committee and RCT TAC (Rug Cleaning Technician Technical Advisory Committee).
Q. What are your IICRC Certifications?
    A. Master Textile Cleaner, Master Fire & Smoke Restorer, Journeyman Textile Cleaner, Journeyman Water Restorer, Journeyman Fire & Smoke Restorer, OCT (Odor Control Technician), WDT (Water Damage Technician), FCT (Floor Care Technician), FSRT (Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician), CRT (Color Repair Technician), BRT (Basic Repair Technician), RRT (Carpet Repair and Reinstallation), UFT (Upholster & Fabric Cleaning Technician), RCT (Rug Cleaning Technician), CCT (Carpet Cleaning Technician), and CMT (Commercial Carpet Maintenance Technician).
Q. What is your "day job" and how long have you been doing it?
    A. I’ve been the owner of a rug and carpet cleaning company since 1984.
Q. What other industry organizations are you active, what do you do for them and how could this benefit the IICRC?
    A. I’m a Certified Rug Specialist for the RIA (Restoration Industry Association). My goal is to try and build bridges between IRA and IICRC.
Q. What are your hobbies/interests outside the industry that you would like to share?
    A. I enjoy reading, music, spending time with family, magic tricks, and learning about rugs from all over the world.
Q. Please tell us about any awards or professional recognition received during your experience in the cleaning, restoration and inspection industry.
    A. I’ve earned various awards of recognition for leadership roles in organizations and/or volunteer work.
Q. What do you personally wish to contribute to the IICRC during your term?
    A. All of my efforts are with the registrant in mind; I’d like to give them the best opportunity to succeed in their profession.
Q. What areas of expertise do you have that would be beneficial to the IlCRC?
    A. Due to years of on the job training, I have the skills necessary to deal with IICRC issues specific to Instructors and Schools. Besides that, I pride myself in having common sense and an acute ability to look at issues from multiple angles.
