Q. When were you first elected to the Board of Directors?
A. I believe it was 1983.
Q. What position(s) do you hold on the Board?
A. I am The Clean Trust Chairman of the Board.
Q. What is your shareholder affiliation?
A. My shareholder affiliation is Individual Shareholder.
Q. What committees with The Clean Trust do you chair or participate?
A. I chair the Strategic Planning Committee and participate in the Finance and Standards Committees.
Q. What are your Certifications?
A. My IICRC certifications are: Journeyman Textile Cleaner, ASD (Applied Structural Drying), BRT (Carpet Repair Technician), CCT (Carpet Cleaning Technician), OCT (Odor Control Technician), UFT (Upholstery & Fabric Cleaning Technician), WDT (Water Damage Technician), and WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician).
Q. What is your "day job" and how long have you been doing it?
A. I’m the CEO of Advanced Restoration Specialists, Inc.
Q. What other industry organizations are you active, what do you do for them and how could this benefit The Clean Trust?
A. My involvement with the RIA (Restoration Industry Association) helps me know what’s going on in the restoration industry.
Q. What are your hobbies/interests outside the industry that you would like to share?
A. I enjoy traveling, skiing (both snow and water), riding Harleys, sand dune quad riding and public speaking.
Q. Please tell us about any awards or professional recognition received during your experience in the cleaning, restoration and inspection industry.
A. I am the past Chairman for both the ASD (Applied Structural Drying) and AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation Technician) Committees and past . Also, I have served on the Executive Committee (part of the time as Treasurer) for 12 years and under 6 different presidents. I participated in development of all water damage and mold standards. I was also a past Chairman of SCT (1983/84).
Q. What do you personally wish to contribute to The Clean Trust during your term?
A. I wish to contribute in these areas: building acquisition, legal team review, RFP (request for proposal) policies, and standards development.
