Q. When were you first elected to the Board of Directors?
    A. I was first elected October, 2009.
Q. What position(s) do you hold on the Board?
    A. I am a Director At Large.
Q. What is your shareholder affiliation?
    A. My shareholder affiliation is Director At Large.
Q. What committees with IICRC do you chair or participate?
    A. Historically, I’ve worked with the S100 and S500 Standards Committees; however, I’m currently looking at other potential fits.
Q. What are your IICRC Certifications?
    A. I have been IICRC certified in CCT (Carpet Cleaning Technician).
Q. What is your "day job" and how long have you been doing it?
    A. I’ve been the Research Chemist with Innovative Chemical Technologies, Inc. for approximately 1 year. Prior to that I was the Global Product Steward for the "Performance Fibers" business of INVISTA (formerly part of DuPont).
Q. What other industry organizations are you active, what do you do for them and how could this benefit the IICRC?
    A. Historically I’ve been very active with the Carpet & Rug Institute, although I am no longer a member.
Q. What are your hobbies/interests outside the industry that you would like to share?
    A. I enjoy golf, hiking, and climbing.
Q. Please tell us about any awards or professional recognition received during your experience in the cleaning, restoration and inspection industry.
    A. I was awarded the Joseph Smrekar Memorial Award for contributions to the carpet industry and the DuPont Environmental Sustainability Excellence Award (for development and implementation of business environmental metrics).
Q. What do you personally wish to contribute to the IICRC during your term?
    A. I’d like to help the IICRC continue to enhance their science and technology foundation.
Q. What areas of expertise do you have that would be beneficial to the IlCRC?
    A. My areas of expertise include: research, science, and technology – or more specifically, managing process and organizational effectiveness development, and statistics and math modeling.
Q. Do you have any government, civic, regulatory contacts that would assist the IICRC in meeting its mission, goals and objectives?
    A. Pre-INVISTA (and during my time with DuPont), I had a fairly extensive network regarding indoor air quality at the government, academic, and private sector levels. However, those have faded some with INVISTA's pull-back from IAQ (Indoor Air Quality).
